      My name is Debbie Candeland and I have worked at Marigold since 2009 and spent most of this time with the babies and toddlers. I was fortunate enough to become a lead practitioner in the baby room in 2016, a role which has now extended to include the toddler room to help support Emma-Jane as she takes on managerial duties.

      I love working with this age group and providing them with such a lovely home from home supporting their learning and the cuddles are the best!

      • Family:

        I have two grown up sons, four beautiful grandchildren and a big fluffy cat called Tigger.

      • Interests:

        I spend a lot of time with my grandchildren making memories and having family time together. When they aren’t keeping me on my toes I enjoy reading and cross stitch.

      • What I love about my job:

        Being able to provide an environment that allows the babies to develop the foundation blocks they need to become independent little people. Knowing you have helped is very rewarding.

Marigold is an independent, family-run day nursery which has been providing the best in nursery care since 1997. We offer all our children a nurturing, caring and stimulating place for fun and learning. Marigold’s educational philosophy is based on learning through play and discovery. We achieve this through a thoughtful blend of child and adult-led activities. We plan challenging adult-led activities for excellent progress and development, but still leave plenty of space for spontaneous child-led discovery and creativity.
